I’ve been thinking of joining in with Shadow Shot Sunday for a while and this week’s theme immediately brought to mind a particular shadowed house in Fountaine de Vaucluse, Provence. I may be bending the rules using more than one image, in which case, focus on the first one.
I love this house with its magnificent artwork and the shadows cast by the trees.
Bill asked for more detail on the frescoes. I have got one which shows one bracket though there are obviously some variations.
The sheer attention to detail in this building’s presentation is exquisite. As is that of its near neighbour.
The hosts of Shadow Shot Sunday are:
Magical Mystical Teacher
Rose (chubskulit)
Gemma Wiseman
What a great house! I love how the shadows dance on it.
Thanks Bettyl, yes I loved it on sight 🙂
Looks like a French house, shame you did not show a close up of the frescoes that are on the walls ebtween the windows.
I’ll rectify that Bill 😉
I’ve added the close up I have of one part of the frescoes.
Now they are beautiful, some really nice work there. Just passed through on my roadtrip.

hi Bill, thanks for visiting. For some reason you wound up in the spam basket…sorry. Pauleen
I can imagine myself standing in the cool shadows in front of this extraordinary house; such an evocative photograph. I have nominated you on my new Awards page.
hi Lynne Thank you for your kind comments and also for the award -will pop over and check it out. Sorry about my delayed response _I’ve been away and “tied up” this week. Cheers Pauleen
The dappled shadow effect is stunning! The old building is such a fascinating design!
Thanks Gemma for your kind comments and for visiting.
Pauleen, this house is so very beautiful. The shadows playing their magic makes it even more so.
Thanks Titania
