Last week at the Parap pool I noticed one of the shrubs was flowering so I pinched this little bunch to bring home. I thought they were just gorgeous once you could see the detail.
Floral delight

I'm a Queenslander by birth and after nearly 20 years in the Northern Territory I've returned to my home state. I've been researching my Queensland ancestors for nearly 30 years and like most Aussies I'm a typical "mongrel" with English, Irish, Scottish and German ancestry. View all posts by cassmob
Very pretty, I haven’t seen that before… the pods almost look waxy.
I think I’ve seen them on the trees from a distance, but not up close. I think they’re so pretty.
Those are beautiful. I love the open flowers contrast with the unopened buds. I noticed I have an azalea blooming in a hidden spot in my yard. The person who lived here first didn’t plant things so they could be seen, Or she let other things grow up and hide them. I think I will go photograph them today. Now.
I was delighted to see just how pretty they were in detail Kristin, and yes the contrast is important. Did you get your azalea photographed?
