We had an Easter excursion to see family who were camped out down the Track at the Douglas Daly. We’d never been there before so thought we’d check it out. We had a lovely BBQ over hot coals, a chill out beside the fire and a dip in the pool. Our thoughts of going for a swim in the river were dismissed by the croc warning signs and the fast-flowing murky water combined with some not-quite-sober swimmers…back to the swimming pool and then the drive home.
I'm a Queenslander by birth and after nearly 20 years in the Northern Territory I've returned to my home state. I've been researching my Queensland ancestors for nearly 30 years and like most Aussies I'm a typical "mongrel" with English, Irish, Scottish and German ancestry. View all posts by cassmob
